Guest Speaker – Mary Hernandez & Mission City Fummigation

Mary Hernandez, a driven and entrepreneurial leader, is only the second woman to head the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC). Raised in Louisville, Kentucky as one of five daughters, she was encouraged from a young age to pursue education and explore diverse interests. After earning a liberal arts degree from the University of Louisville and exploring various business ventures, including catering and corporate cleaning services—Mary found her calling in pest control. Relocating to California in 2000 with her husband Ed, she became a key part of Mission City Fumigation and co-founded Hernandez Sewing, a company that manufactures fumigation tarps. Deeply involved in PCOC, she is now focused on leading the organization with transparency and inclusivity, aiming to expand its reach and impact.
