No On Prop 33 Town Hall

On Monday, September 9th, at 11:00 a.m., California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) President Melanie Barker and President-Elect Heather Ozur invite members to attend a virtual town hall to discuss C.A.R.’s strong opposition to Proposition 33, which will be on the November 5, 2024, ballot. C.A.R. is advocating against Proposition 33, as it would repeal existing laws that prevent extreme forms of rent control. Join the virtual town hall to learn how Proposition 33 will undermine homeowners’ rights by: – Granting local politicians and unelected rent boards unchecked control over setting rental rates and regulations. – Extending extreme rent control to single-family homes. – Worsening California’s housing crisis. – Prohibiting housing providers from raising rents to accurately reflect the cost of providing rental housing or adjusting rents after a tenant vacates a property.
