Referral Fee Disclosure Updates – New C.A.R. Forms & Resources

With referral fees receiving heightened attention across the industry and in the media, C.A.R. has updated several forms to clarify and streamline disclosure requirements. One key update includes the revised REALTOR® Acknowledgement and Disclosure Form (RAD), which now provides a more standardized and transparent method for disclosing referral-related compensation and other required disclosures.

To assist members in understanding and properly implementing these revisions, C.A.R. has released a comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document covering referral fees and the updated RAD form. The FAQ outlines:

• When the RAD form is required

• What information must be disclosed

• How the revisions align with current legal requirements

C.A.R. acknowledges that additional questions are expected as these changes are adopted. To provide further guidance, C.A.R.’s leadership and legal team will host two additional Referral Fee Townhalls:

• Tuesday, December 16
